Audition Information Casting Update: The Fall 2011 production of Giacomo Puccini's Tosca will be held in March. Specific dates and times to be announced. Chorus rehearsals will begin in late August. If you would like to join this ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Hae Jong Lee, Director of Choral Activities of YSU's Dana School of Music, please contact the Opera Western Reserve office by phone at 330.480.0693 or via e-mail at productiondirector@operawesternreserve.org Casting Policy: Opera Western Reserve is dedicated to providing performance opportunities for emerging and established area singers. Preference is given to those who reside in, are from, are studying in, or have strong ties to the Western Reserve area (Northeastern Ohio & Western Pennsylvania). Those who have performed in past productions are required to re-audition for subsequent roles. Guest artists are engaged when roles cannot be cast in our area. Supporting roles are assigned to our Young Artists and to vocal students of the Dana School of Music at YSU Principal Audition Material: You may request an audition by submitting your resume, headshot and any other pertinent information by regular U.S. Mail (no electronic submissions please) to: You will be notified by mail as to the date and time of your audition. An accompanist will be provided. There is a $10 accompanist fee due at the time of the audition. Please include a list of the arias you will be prepared to sing, one each in Italian, French and English. Driving directions and other information will be included with the confirmation of your audition appointment. The audition will be on the stage of Stambaugh Auditorium and will be heard by Music Director Susan Davenny Wyner and General Manager & Production Director David Vosburgh.
