David Vosburgh


David Vosburgh has taught at New York University, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Austin Peay State University and is an instructor at YSU. He has directed or designed over 100 productions for opera companies, summer stock, dinner theatre, national tours, universities and community theaters. He has performed over 30 operatic roles including Tiny Duffy in the Houston Grand Opera premiere of Carlisle Floyd's Willie Stark, which was shown on PBS TV's Great Performances. He was in the original Broadway productions of Maggie Flynn, Smith, A Little Night Music, Evita, A Doll's Life and revivals or national tours of Sweeney Todd, Cabaret, Guys and Dolls and Parade. Locally, he has been seen in Big River at Porthouse Theatre and the Carousel Dinner Theatre productions of Jekyll and Hyde - the Musical, Carousel and The Sound of Music. He has served as an Artistic Director for the New York Lyric Opera, the Youngstown Playhouse and is Production Director for Opera Western Reserve.
