EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH

Opera Western Reserve is a growing opera company proudly presenting operas of the highest quality using many regional artists as leading singers, orchestra members and directors. We are dedicated to educating our community on the vast learning experiences created through opera, the preservation of opera as a valuable art form and the collaboration of many art forms that opera demands. Through our outreach programs, area educators and students are invited to take a step behind the scenes and learn more about this fine art!

Free Education Opportunities for your students and summer camps!

Each year, Opera Western Reserve offers educational programs for local schools and students. OWR’s Emerging Artists travel to area educational facilities and summer camps to perform live, quality opera for students.

Coming in 2022

This summer, OWR’s Emerging Artists will visit libraries and summer camps in the region to perform the Children’s Opera of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. The Children’s Opera is a 40 minute production with costumes and set that are brought to your facility to educate students on the magic and fun of opera!

In the fall, OWR’s Emerging Artists will perform a mini-mainstage production of our fall opera, La Boheme, performed at Stambaugh Auditorium on the morning of the fall opera!

For more information regarding our educational outreach programs, or to be added to our e-mail list for updates, contact the Education Coordinator, Emelia Sherin, at esherin@stambaughauditorium.com for assistance.
