SUPPORT OPERA WESTERN RESERVE

2022-2023 Season Underwriting Campaign

Your support of Opera Western Reserve has enabled us to produce high quality performances for audiences in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania while providing a performance platform for professional artists in the area.

We are excited to announce Opera Western Reserve’s upcoming production, La Bohéme, an opera in four acts composed by Giacomo Puccini which will take place on November 11th in the beautiful Stambaugh Auditorium. La Bohéme is a story rich with a triumphant blend of grim reality and soaring romanticisim. The tale showcases a narrative set around the late 1830’s in Paris and reveals a story of a poor seamstress and her artist friends.

Opera Western Reserve has been offering captivating operas like La Bohéme since their first production of I Pagliacci in 2004. Opera Western Reserve began when a group of opera lovers decided to create Youngstown’s own opera company. The budding opera company was invited by Stambaugh Auditorium to house their very first production on the magnificent main stage. Throughout Opera Western Reserve’s history, it has been able to attract excellent talent and produce fantastic performances that contribute to the quality of life in the Mahoning Valley.

Opera Western Reserve has continued to afford opportunities to emerging singers, put on great performances, and enhance educational development for children in the tri-county region through their Fun with Opera outreach program. The support of our donors is what makes this all possible.

Please consider continued support of Opera Western Reserve. Productions like La Bohéme would not be possible without our underwriters. Your support of Opera Western Reserve impacts the success of what we do. All gifts of $100 or more will be recognized in the program book for La Bohéme.
