AUDITION APPLICATION

Emerging Artists for the 2024-2025 Season:

Seeking:

Soprano, Tenor, and Baritone voice types

Auditions For:

Emerging Artists ROLES: Violetta, Alfredo, and Germont

OWR Emerging Artists will be featured in the following ’24-’25 programming for young audiences:

  • a reduced “mini-mainstage” presentation based on our upcoming production of La Traviata  on November 22, 2024
  • Other community outreach performances throughout the season
Audition Repertoire for OWR Emerging Artists:
  • One aria/art song in English
  • One aria in Italian (if possible). Emerging Artist Applicants who wish to be considered for the available roles and/or covers in La Traviata must include an aria in Italian
  • At least one additional pice from your repertoire
APPLICATION PROCESS for the Live Auditions:
  • Applications are to be submitted online:
  • Applications must include uploaded audition videos
  • Deadline for applications: March 25, 2024
On-Stage AUDITIONS to take place by invitation:
  • April 17, 2024 | 4:30pm-9:30pm
  • Invited in-person auditions will be held onstage at the DeYor Performing Arts Center and will be scheduled by appointment.
  • Once invited to audition in person, a non-refundable audition fee of $30 is due at the time of appointment reservation. This fee includes an on site accompanist.
  • Those invited to audition in-person should be prepared to travel to Youngstown, Ohio.

OWR encourages performers of all races, ethnicities, gender identities and expressions, ages, abilities and body types to audition. All principal and supporting role contracts are paid. Selected chorus ensemble leader positions are paid.
