OPERA WESTERN RESERVE EMERGING ARTISTS TO SHOWCASE FALL PRODUCTION EXCERPTS IN PARISIAN PROMENADE

Press Release

YOUNGSTOWN, OH (May 16, 2022): A Parisian Promenade is set for Friday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th Avenue Steps & Promenade at Stambaugh Auditorium. Opera Western Reserve’s Emerging Artists will take the audience through a 19th century Parisian love story performing excerpts from the upcoming production, Puccini’s La Bohème.

These excerpts contain some of opera’s most-loved music. The stage is set in Paris around the 1830’s and reflects on the struggling bohemians longing for true love. Join the Emerging Artists of Opera Western Reserve for a night of music, dinner, and drinks on the 5th Avenue Steps & Promenade at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The evening will begin with brie and baguette appetizers along with a cash bar. A buffet-style dinner will include French Mustard Chicken, Gratin Dauphinoise, Taboulé aux Herbes Fraishes, Hericot Vert, and Fresh Glazed Carrots. Chocolate Mousse will be served for dessert.

Tickets for the Parisian Promenade are $60, or reserve a table for eight people for $450. Tickets are available Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM by calling 330-259-9651, or in person at the DeYor Performing Arts Center.
